Dick’s Sword Method (Kenya Group) met on 3rd August, 2026and their agenda of discovery was Luke 6:1-19. Below shows their findings:

“As we began the month of August in the Gospel of Luke, we reflected on Luke 6:1 to 19, where Jesus reveals His authority over the Sabbath, demonstrates compassion through healing, spends time in prayer before making significant decisions, appoints the twelve apostles, and ministers powerfully to all who came to Him in faith.

GOD

* God has authority over Sabbath (v1 to v5)

* God is all knowing (v8)

* God is the helper (v10)

MAN

* Man is quick to judge (v7)

* Man is quick to anger (v11)

* Man is drawn to God’s power (v19

Examples

* Understand Scripture carefully (v3 to v4)

* Always do good (v9)

* Pray before major decisions (v13)

* Accept God’s calling (v13 to v16)

Commands

* Do what is good (v9)

* Seek God’s guidance first (v12)

I Will Statements

* I will be more compassionate.

* I will pray before making important decisions.”
